Retention of temporary crowns, sealing dressing in teeth during root canal therapy procedures. Trial cementation of permanent restorations prior to final insertion. Testing of interproximal contacts prior to final placement. KIT CONTAINS 20 g of Temporary Cement in Auto-Mix Cartridges. Accessories & Instructions. OUTSTANDING FEATURES OF THE MATERIAL
APPLICATION In case of direct pulp exposure, use a calcium hydroxide-type base to cap the pulp. It is imperative to disinfect and dry the preparation before cementing due to the fact that all synthetic cements are hydrophobic by nature. The presence of moisture may result in inferior retention, possibility of microbial contamination, and post-operative sensitivity. Unless counter-indicated for the reason of proximity to the pulp, the removal of the smear layer prior to cementing will further contribute to the enhanced retention and greater integrity of the tooth-cement interface.
